Jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 using Absinthe

You've waited for the jailbreak for iOS 5, but later realized that your iPhone 4S/iPad 2 was not compatible. No need to worry. It's finally here. Now there is a way to jailbreak your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 with a jailbreaking tool called Absinthe. This easy jailbreak is untethered and your device will be jailbroken in no time.

1. Download Absinthe here for Windows and here for Mac
2. Connect your device to the computer
3. Open Absinthe and click "Jailbreak"
Note: if a pop-up comes up that says "restore" then ignore it and allow the process to complete
4. When the jailbreak bar is full, go to your device
5. On your device, there should be a new icon. Tap on it. A white screen will appear now. If you have problems view the section below.

When you are jailbreaking with Redsnow and you need a firmware file to jailbreak. Need to download the firmware file? Listed below it the firmware files for the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad.
